– The New York Times

Press

“Expect a mix of comics, anarchic nonsense, and possibly Lynam doing dangerous things with fireworks.”

– Bruce Dessau for The Evening Standard

“Throughout this performance Lynam is very expressive and engaging, oozing with energy and charisma.”

– Edinburgh 49

“Repeatedly impressive, with creative ideas brilliantly executed, including some stand-out set pieces that hilariously flip expectations on their head.”

Chortle

“Mahout of the bizarre buffoon extraordinaire to wit.”

– The Times

“Surreal unhinged quality which makes for comic greatness.

– The Guardian

Chris’ Eric The Fred show brings to mind Monte Carlo style mime and clown shows of the 1950s and 1960s and very up-market performance art shows. It would not go amiss in Las Vegas and is astonishingly sophisticated, complex and professional. It demonstrates where a bit of pyrotechnic nudity can take you if you have immense talent.

John Flemming

“Our most dangerous comic.

– The Independent

“Chris Lynam is a brilliantly bizarre antidote to today’s truculent society.

– The New York Times

“As well as being technically excellent, it’s genuinely perverse and absurd – equal parts David Lynch, Samuel Beckett and Looney Tunes.”

The Scotsman

“Timeless dark comedy, Eric is a solid display of clowning and physical theatre skill.”

The List

“The most dangerously funny man on the planet.

– Eddie Izzard

“The style of the projections called to mind German Expressionist cinema and the silent science fiction films of a George Melies.”

– TVBomb

“Achingly beautiful and seriously funny for all its grimness, this is a highly structured, well-designed technical show, and yet Lynam’s true brilliance is that he is always there in the moment, contemporary in every way.”

About Chris Lynam

Very few members of the comedy world are worthy of the title ‘genius’; Chris Lynam isn’t one of them but he comes damn close.

Chris Lynam is renowned for many things, but mainly for bringing his own brand of crazed humour to bear on unsuspecting audiences. His comedy is both dangerous and exciting, stretching variety to its limits.

Any one show may include pyrotechnics, acrobatics, outlandish operatic and orchestral overtures, flying sousaphones and anything else which may spring to Mr Lynam’s unnecessarily large and vivid imagination.
