The Beast of Theatre

Don’t be afraid to caress the beast… It only wants to play!

Indescribably wild and wondrous physical comedy from the man with the Eraserhead haircut. Chris Lynam, the infamous iconoclastic clown, brings you his interactive, acrobatic, manically musical and gloriously epic show!

This show can play in theatre, cabaret or street, and can last anything up to an hour.

Chris Lynam has worked as an uncategorisable solo clown/comedian for over forty years, which has earned him a reputation for unpredictable hilarity and mayhem. He has toured his solo show to New York, Milan, Genoa, Edinburgh, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Seychelles, Hong Kong, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, Scandinavia, China, Colombia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

With his raw physicality, an exquisite grasp of the grotesque and a seemingly endless supply of explosive tricks, he has been feverishly subverting the tradition of alternative comedy, shattering our cosy pre-conceptions with his extraordinary off the wall surrealism and spontaneous modern clown.

The script isn’t written ’til the end of the show, so don’t be afraid to caress the beast… it only wants to play!
